Seems like the obvious thing to do
The Vatican is likely going to ban homosexuals from ordianation as priests. This seems like the logical thing to do, but I have absolutely no doubt that liberals will not like this one little bit, nor that I will receive yet more mail telling me how full of hatred I am (true story).
Never mind that it's most likely to be homosexual priests who molest little boys--liberals are going to see this as an attack on a) right to privacy; b) right to free speech; c) right to, as an adult, choose your sexual preference. This isn't going to be lauded as a positive step in the right direction, trust me. Liberals want the Vatican to disappear, pretty much, off the face of the planet, and they will raise an outcry against this. Once, of course, they're done blaming Bush for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

The policy statement is a direct result of the pope's concern about the pedophilia scandal in the church – especially in the U.S.
