Speaking of Hillary Clinton
The school in New York that honored pro-death Hillary Clinton has lost its official recognition as a Catholic insitution. I'm sure that Ken Salazar would see this as the workings of the Antichrist, of course, and I have no doubt that this move by the New York Archdiocese will be roundly condemned by the liberal media. After all, doesn't being Catholic in America mean doing whatever feels good to you? I'm beginning to wonder whether American Catholics even realize that the Church has such things as beliefs and doctrines to which members must adhere.
I wonder if these so-called Catholics would recognize my right to be a professional basketball player despite the fact that I'm a middle-aged white woman whose last experience with a sport of any kind was watching the Super Bowl--after all, who cares that I don't know NBA rules, let alone follow them? Who cares that I'm a short white woman? Isn't that sexist of the NBA to not allow short middle-aged women to play? What right do they have to tell me that I can't play pro basketball just because I don't know the rules, hate the rules I do know, and am a short woman?
Or how about professional poker--I have never played poker in my life, but the rules don't concern me. I should be able to make them up as I go along, twist them to fit my lifestyle choice, shouldn't I? I think I could easily beat Ben Affleck if only I could play by my own rules, if only the Las Vegas casinos would recognize my inherent right to play the game the way I want it to be played, the way I wish it could be played. I'd feel ever so much better about myself...

MANASSAS, VA, April 29, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Archdiocese of New York has determined that Marymount Manhattan College is no longer a Catholic institution. The college has been under protest by the Cardinal Newman Society for inviting pro-abortion Sen. Hillary Clinton to give its commencement address and receive an honorary degree on May 20.
This is the fourth time since the late Pope John Paul II issued Ex Corde Ecclesiae, the apostolic constitution on Catholic universities, that a bishop has declared an historically Catholic college or university to be not Catholic. The three colleges previously declared no longer Catholic include Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York, and Nazareth College and Saint John Fisher College, both in Rochester, New York.
