And the lunacy continues
John Mark Karr, arrested, as everyone knows by now, for the Christmas 1996 murder of JonBenet Ramsey, has a very loving family. Never mind that his mother tried to kill him when he was an infant, never mind that his second ex-child-wife reportedly hates his guts, his family are now looking to make money on the sordid tale. They want, you see, to hire some big-guns lawyers to defend their little fella. They've hired a publicist as well. This publicist, an actor named Garrison, claims the family has a photo that "proves" Karr was with them during Christmas of 1996. Garrison, as you'll note in the linked article, declined to say what that photo showed.
Here's the "proof" that Karr was with his loving family that Christmas--a picture of his three sons. Not a picture of him. His ex-wife cannot locate a single picture that shows Karr with his adoring family that Christmas. If that's all the proof they have, they'd better hope their actor/publicist gets them a sweet deal, all inked and put to bed, before book companies realize what they've signed. (And small wonder that Garrison is unwilling to disclose what the picture shows.)
And yet, when the Ramseys hired a publicist there was no end to the backlash against them...
Hey, maybe Kaavya Viswanathan is looking for work--she could certainly do justice to the story of John Mark Karr's twisted life of lies and fantasies. Although I think Kaavya would balk at helping a murderer or his family tell their tale, actually...
