A reminder
An hour ago, Terri Schindler's parents were allowed to see her. They reported that Terri was moving her mouth trying to speak...Read that sentence, then read it again, and then go and find your loved ones and hold them and cherish them and tell them you love them...
Jeb Bush has been shackled by a maniacal judge who will no doubt dine well tonight. If Jeb wants to go to prison, he can go in and try to take Terri. But it would mean a battle with no certain outcome. The fact that Michael Schiavo will demand instant cremation for his wife speaks volumes as to whether or not he beat her in the first place. Terri was found unconscious the morning after a "violent argument" with her husband--you do the math. The fact that Michael Schiavo wants us to believe Terri's death is "natural" and not, in fact, starvation--he told Larry King that Terri is not currently starving to death--might be taken to mean that there is a huge life insurance policy out there somewhere that will only pay on a death officially deemed "natural."
If you have daughters, whether they're old enough to be married or not, find them, phone them, hug them, tell them you love them. Urge them to put their wishes in writing and have those wishes notarized and copied and mailed to everyone they know.
As we basically now sit on deathwatch for Theresa Marie Schindler, I wanted to post a reminder of another nation that stood idly by while evil stalked the land unhindered:
In Nazi Germany, German physicians planned and enacted the "Euthanasia" Program, the systematic killing of those they deemed "unworthy of life." The victims included the mentally retarded, the institutionalized mentally ill, and the physically impaired.
