Italian Prime Minister weighs in on Terri Schindler
Italy's government has recently defended one of its citizens, the Communist journalist Sgrena who was accidentally shot at by U.S. forces in Iraq. Not one left-of-center person in the U.S. has yet to come out with a statement that the Italian government shouldn't step to the plate for one of Italy's citizens. And yet that's exactly what they're saying about the U.S. government's attempts to save one American life....sigh....
You have to wonder what the picture would look like if Kerry had won, and if Kerry decided to be man enough to stand up and be the Catholic he's claimed to be. Would they be screaming for Terri's blood if Kerry were the one defending her? I somehow doubt it.
Anyway, the Italian Prime Minister had this to say about Terri Schindler: "It is a problem that concerns everybody's conscience. I'm Catholic and I think that only God can take life."
