Documentgate Part 1
What did Dan Rather know, and when did he know it? This seems to be the burning question this week, as the forged documents--and it's time we stopped whinging and admitted they're forgeries, or we'll look like idiots--continue to play on the front pages. And trotting out an 80-year-old sec'y who says she clearly recalls something from 32 years ago? Get real. It's high time CBS, and Dan Rather, came clean, and ended this embarrassing mess. Tell us, already, WHO gave you the docs. If it was a Republican, shout it from the rooftops, for God's sake! If it was a Dem, tell us, so we can begin to cover our butts as much as humanly possible. Time for the truth, folks, we all deserve it already, no matter which party you vote for.Dan Rather's reputation, not to mention that of the amazing CBS News, is on the line here. Trust me, Dan, you do NOT want this kind of egg on your face when you're finally forced by the right-wing media to admit the truth.
